Photography stayed with me through college, where I studied composition and lighting (and even spent some time as the photographer for a ghost hunting group... definitely a fun story LOL). In 2018, I second-shot my first wedding and immediately knew this was what I wanted to do. Shortly after, I launched Arkwright Portraits, and I've been lucky enough to spend the years since documenting weddings, seniors, growing families, and all the beautiful moments in between—all while teaching high school business during the week.

My photography story started when I was eight years old after my grandma gave me a little 110 film camera for Christmas. Growing up in Germany, I spent my childhood photographing castles, churches, and eventually, people after my mom encouraged me to point my camera in a new direction.
